Tired, dry eyes are not only aggravating and painful, they can prevent you from getting your work done–especially if you work at a computer or with a lot of paperwork, reading, or writing.
If you’ve already tried the chamomile tea remedy and/or the cucumber recipe and are still experiencing tired, dry eyes, it’s time to dive deeper into what’s causing your eye problems. Why not combat tired, dry eyes from within? After all, you can’t use eye drops
forever. Wouldn’t you rather address–and treat–the underlying cause, instead of just touching on the symptoms and not getting permanent relief?
Life is so busy and hectic, isn’t it? You think you don’t have time to address your tired, dry eye issue, but you do! Simply increase your intake of omegas in your day-to-day lifestyle and allow a little time for them to begin working. A super easy way to add omegas is by picking up a quality gel cap and following the directions on the bottle.
Omega 3-6-9 (1000mg)
is an excellent choice (as shown in the photo below).
A few other benfits of omegas 3, 6, and 9 include:
- anti-inflammatory
- protection against heart disease, cancer (including prostate), and diabetes
- bone health
- prevention and/or control of high blood pressure
- fiber rich
- lower cholesterol
Women also benefit from omegas aiding in hot flashes and hormonal issues.
Lastly, another way to find eye relief, is by consuming raw foods, cleansing your body to help rid it of toxins, and incorporating raw juices and smoothies into your life.

Tired, Burning, and Itching
You’ve been there, right? Your tired eyes are aching from staring at the computer screen but you have to keep staring at it nonetheless. Sometimes there’s just no way around it. Whether it’s for your job or for fun, you have to be in front of a bright screen, that window to cyber life.
There’s hope! There’s relief! No, really, there is.
Here’s what you’ll need to relieve your tired eyes naturally:
- Cucumbers cut in slices
- Small freezer bags
Here’s what to do:
Place the the cucumber slices in freezer bags where they’ll lay flat and not stick together. Lay the bags flat in the freezer. When your eyes are burning, itching, and hurting, go to the freezer and grab a couple of those slices. Let them thaw a little. You can also place a folded, cool wash cloth over the cucumber slices and your eyes. Lean back or lay down in a quiet, relaxing spot - if that’s possible! - and let your poor, overworked, tired eyes soak up all that cool goodness. Your eyes will thank you and you’ll love that refreshing feeling the cold cucumber leaves.
It’s great! You’ll love how your eyes feel refreshed afterward. Take care of your eyes; take a few minutes out of your day and reward them with this amazing treatment. You’ll be so glad you did.
